Haitian Parole

Several members of our American team have applied to become sponsors for Haitians seeking to come to the United States.

In March, Michael and I welcomed two people into our home from Haiti. We helped D. get a work permit and get connected with various social services. Her son, T., finished up 4th grade here in Manassas and we loved having him join our family fun. D. and T. just moved to stay with D’s godmother in Utah where she has a lead on a job that doesn’t require her to have great English language skills. We are happy to have been part of her journey and are looking forward to helping sponsor several more people.

The USCIS process has slowed down significantly due to the high number of people applying. But we remain hopeful that all the applications we’ve put in will be processed soon.
